This morning at AD Barnes I observed what I believed to be a female Lazuli Bunting. The bird was overall structured and sized like a female Indigo Bunting, having a slight peaked look to head. The color, however, was sandier/more beige" (less warm) than what I think of as typical for Indigo. The most prominent thing I saw were two thin white parallel wing bars which were quite distinct. The wing bars were not faint, they were actually the first thing I noticed when I got my binoculars on the bird.
The bird was angled slightly away from me, so I did not get a good view of breast, but what I saw on the angled side did not show any kind of streaking or dinginess.
The bird was seen inside Homeless Hammock, and flushed out to the brushy edges on the southeast side. It was alone; no other buntings were seen in the area.
Hopefully someone can refind/photograph the bird.
