With the frontal passage and strong westerlies last night, I decided to poke around Matheson Hammock County Park to look for migrants. Nearly all the activity was focused between the bathrooms and stone pavilion in the picnic area. I had the following:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Eastern Kingbird
Kentucky Warbler (stunning male, right behind the bathrooms in the picnic area)
Hooded Warbler (2)
Worm-eating Warbler (3)
Black-and-white Warbler (3)
American Redstart (3)
Northern Parula (2)
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler (2)
Prairie Warbler (2)
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler (2)
Yellow-breasted Chat
Scarlet Tanager
Summer Tanager (2)
Bill Sadowski Park was quiet but still had a few bits of activity, including a Chuck-will's-widow, Magnolia Warbler, Northern Parula (2), and Black-throated Blue Warbler (2 females).
