I am new to Birding and was recently at Birch (2/21/14) with a ornithology classmate and the professor of the class (Dr. Colin Hughes). Around 9am he noticed a WHITE-CROWNED PIGEON in a gumbo limbo tree. Fortunately for us, she stayed put long enough for us to positively id her using our bird guide book.
