I too would like to know how and what to offer the macaws. We have a pair of blue and golds nesting in a 50 foot high dead borassis palm on our 5 fruited acres, which post Wilma have nothing now in fuit other than carambolas and rangpore limes. Looks as though the pair have just about finished creating the nest. They can now both completely disappear down into it. The opening is shaped like an upside down L, with the shorter stroke providing a perch on the face of the palm as part of the nest hole opening. They have been wonderful to watch and we wouldn't want them to be hungry. Thanks for any help.
