I'm going to try some translation here concerning the locations. Let me know if this is incorrect.
By "Chekika Unit" you mean the east Everglades along 237th Ave.
By "the hammock itself", you mean the actual Chekika Unit = the old Grossman Hammock.
By "main park road" you actually mean 237th Ave, not the road from the Coe visitor's center to Flamingo.
