Hi Gerry, Sorry it took so long to respond. The sighting of the Black-hooded Parakeets was definitely random. I hadn't seen them in the country walk area for a couple years. It was a nice surprise. I've seen reports of them in the keys that might be more reliable and earlier this year they were being seen at Loxahatchee State Park in Palm Beach County. Maybe some other TAS members could help you with this when you come.
