If it were not for sightings of an American Plover and the female Vermillion
Flycatcher, my trip may have been over. I collected whatever information I could
to help me find these birds and headed to ENP

Success.

This is the first Eastern Diamond-backed Rattler that I've seen at ENP.

It was at least 7 feet long with, I think, 7 or 8 rattles.

The American Golden Plover flew when startled and made a call different than
the hundreds of Killdeer in the area. I saw that it didn't have the white patch
on the tail in flight. Making it easy to spot in among the Killdeer. I only got
these three photo before it flew and I lost track of it.

Thanks John for letting us know that the female Vermillion Flycatcher was back
at Paurotis Pond. She was very photogenic.

I have a few more ideas for Friday and Saturday but I am unsure where to go
next.

Life is good.  So far this week I have added 12 new birds to my life
list. I also got photos of several birds that I have seen but hadn't
photographed yet.

Time for a libation!
