Just got a message from Rangel that he found a dead Oystercatcher on the main park road while driving on the way to Long Pine Key. Not only is this a rare bird in the county, but it was a long way from its preferred habitat. How did it get there?
By the way, Rangel hopes to relocate a Dark-eyed Junco seen two days ago at LPK. I know this is not as exciting as a painted bunting, but it will have to do for now.
