RWBB are in that area and have been for years.
At this time of year they move around in groups looking for food. There are actually bird records for the CDE Estate that date back to 1989. Check with Alice Warren Bradley to see them.
I do not ever remember seeing a RWBB at the CDE, but I have seen them near OLd Cutler Hammock/Bill Sadowski Park.

: Hi,
:
: My name is Antonio and I work at the Deering Estate as a Naturalist. We keep a list of birds seen in or around the park and we have no records of them. Our records go back to 2001. I first, spotted the birds about two weeks ago on the Powers Property (part of Deering Estate, MDC P&R). And, this is the first sighting that I know about. Maybe someone knows about earlier sightings.

: : Hello,
: :
: : For the past several days I have had a flock of red-whiskered bulbuls feeding in the Brazilian peppers behind my house (in sort of an annex to the Deering Estate, just west of Old Cutler south of 157 Terrace).
: :
: : From what I can tell they are usually seen reliably only near Baptist Hospital. Are they also commonly seen in Palmetto Bay?
: :
: : Thanks for the info--

: : p.s. Also, I saw an American Kestrel for the first time in my yard the other day. What a beautiful bird!
