Hi,
My name is Antonio and I work at the Deering Estate as a Naturalist. We keep a list of birds seen in or around the park and we have no records of them. Our records go back to 2001. I first, spotted the birds about two weeks ago on the Powers Property (part of Deering Estate, MDC P&R). And, this is the first sighting that I know about. Maybe someone knows about earlier sightings.
: Hello,
:
: For the past several days I have had a flock of red-whiskered bulbuls feeding in the Brazilian peppers behind my house (in sort of an annex to the Deering Estate, just west of Old Cutler south of 157 Terrace).
:
: From what I can tell they are usually seen reliably only near Baptist Hospital. Are they also commonly seen in Palmetto Bay?
:
: Thanks for the info--

: p.s. Also, I saw an American Kestrel for the first time in my yard the other day. What a beautiful bird!
