This afternoon Trey and I spotted 2 Horned Grebes on the north side of the jetty. They were pretty far away, at extreme scope range. From the wooden poll on the jetty, we scanned to the east-northeast. We also saw one large, dark duck fly over the outer jetty from north to south. It was too far to get an ID but it was definitely not a White-winged Scoter (no white on the wings). Other sightings inlude Bald Eagle, Dunlin, Ruddy Turnstones, Willet, Semipalm & Least Sandpiper, and 2 Manfredis (one adult male and one juvenile male, both still in summer plumage).
