I had one Semipalmated at Viera Click Ponds last year in February...of course no camera to document this. Nonetheless, it was a Semipalmated, mixed in with dozens of Least. I think it is possible that some may linger and if the dynamic duo happen to see this bird again at the jetty, they may want to photograph it...or not (these guys are on a mission). I'm sure someone will now tell me how there aren't any records of Semipalmated Sandpiper wintering in Florida. That's fine. Maybe the one in Viera was a very early migrant. ;)
