I saw a pair of Purple Swamphens at Green Cay with three small black fuzzy babies back on August 26th of this year. I reported it on eBird and with the Breeding Bird Atlas. To my knowledge this is the first they have breed at Green Cay. Have seen the family on and off since then. Linda Fell, a regular at Green cay has also seen then, she saw four babies. The young are almost full grown now.
