Had the pleasure of meeting of meeting Bruce P. & his wife birding today at Tall Cypress. We birded for a couple of hours. The lighting wasn't the best but we found some migrants. I dedicate the photo of the Indigo Bunting to Peg since she hadn't seen one this season (Bruce's wife). The highlight for me was a LIKELY Eastern Wood-Pewee (at least is what I think). Correct me if you're an expert. I posted several shots for a better in-depth analysis:)
Several Eastern Phoebes
Lots of Gray Catbirds
Lots of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
Lots of Palm Warblers
Lots of Pine Warblers
At least one adult male Prairie Warbler
A Merlin on a snag
Three Northern Flickers
Several Downy Woodpeckers and Red-bellied as well
Several Common Yellowthroats
Some Painted Buntings
Several Indigo Buntings
Two Wood ducks by an adjacent pond
Common Grackles - some
Boat-tailed Grackle - some
Euro Starlings (many)
Belted Kingfisher on the wires outside in the vicinity
American Kestrel on the wires as well
Northern Cardinals - a few
Blue Jays - too many
Northern Mockingbirds - a few
Some other ones that Bruce could list that I can't remember...
