I work in Pompano Beach. After work I saw two birds in the parking lot that I hadn't seen in the fifteen years that I've lived here. The distinct markings were an orange beak about 1 1/2 inches long with an orange stripe that continued from the beak and through the eye area. The birds were dark in color almost black, plump with a body about the size of a large avocado. Legs were around 4 inches long and they both hopped rather than walked. Any ideas?
