Thanks Bill - I figured if I threw something out there someone might offer a comment I might learn from.
I did some more research on empids tonite and learned about the primaries - and noted they were long for a Least. In truth, I am less interested in checking off a species and more interested in learning how to properly ID one.
I've only recently experienced the empidonax angst - no one warned me - when the Smithsonian needs a body to fetch DNA for an ID, I can now sleep knowing I'm exactly where I need to be - learning.
