As they are active in bushes just outside our pool enclosure and can't see us through the screen, we can observe them from a minimum disance - five or six feet. We thought they were spot-breasted orioles initialy but there are no spots. Is this an unusual species for Kendall (unincorporated Miami)?
What you saw was a pair of Spot Breasted Orioles. They are common to this area.
