Bruce, Can I ask where, and when, you are spotting these at Tall Cypress? I have only managed to stop by a rare few times on my way home from work, since I work nearby to this park but don't live as close. Both times I've been there, right after some exciting sounding reports of sightings, I've ended up seeing, or hearing, basically nothing. Not even a blue jay - I mean DEAD! One time I got a single downy woodpecker, and one lone blue-grey gnatcatcher, but the other time, nothing. I'm wondering if the park just has been abandoned by the birds by the time I get there, which is usually around 4:30-5:30pm. If your action is in the morning, I may try to make an excursion there before work one day next week.
