Oh man do you have my deepest sympathies. Luckily the hedges are both on our side of the fences in my back yard. And my husband tediously pruned them this summer but they filled back in very quickly. You are more than welcome to come sit in my backyard , I will share my buntings when they return. By the way, they also like to hide in the firebush and hibiscus. Nothing can stop you from planting more shrubs!
