While driving across the state on the Tamiami trail yesterday we encountered numerous swarms of what i think was swallows. They were like little kamikazes!
One poor little one ended up in the grill of our car , which we didn't even realize until we stopped in Miami.
I have been trying to identify it since. Being a new birder im determined to figure this little guy out . I'm thinking maybe its a juvenile and that's what's making it hard !?!
It's breast is a pale orange / cinnamon color. It was mostly black/ a bit iridescent, under a flashlight anyway. It's crown looked blue . But in the daylight the blues were not as prevalent . Slender black beak, a little whit on its outer tail feathers. It was a tiny little body .....
Can anyone tell me what it was ...
