I've had a near-invasion around my house and the street behind me of swallows - hundreds of them swooping barely off the ground, nearly coming through the windshields when you drive around, and when I'm in my pool, they're coming just a few feet over my head. I spent some time trying to photograph a few while in the pool, and I'm seeing predominantly barn swallows, though I'm fairly sure there were a few other types mixed in - and the purple martins were also mixed in with them as I caught a few identifiable shots of them too. So barns and purple martins were definite, and a few other swallows that looked different from the barns - I think cliff swallows. The other ones are chunkier looking and have squared tails instead of forked.
