A Baird's Sandpiper was found by Gainesville master birder, John Hintermeister, last Saturday, August 10th, in a flooded field east of a white building with a red windsock on Brown's Farm Road, two miles east of the intersection with CR 880 in Palm Beach County. The Martens and Will from WPB, Pam Segal and Ron Robinson from Gainesville, and Kevin Sarsfield joined in the birdfest. Life is good.........................as Kevin and I hoisted Shiner Bocks to celebrate this Eastern U.S. gem of a shorebird. John posted two excellent photos of the Baird's on the EBird Rare Bird Alert.
