Unfortunately my luck was no better than yours. I looked around there for about 30 minutes on my way to Green Cay Saturday around noon, but no green jay. There were some grackles high up around the front, and I too heard some chirping cardinal noise, as well as some blue jays popping around. I can only guess it might have been an escapee from nearby and maybe traveling around the area looking for food.
