I certainly don't think it was intended as a way to obscure the message. I'm pretty sure it simply slipped in (and I repeated the mistake) because of its usage in certain circles (primarily park staff). I'll certainly try to do better next time!
Here are the 4-letter National Park Service codes for all our South Florida parks, just in case they do slip into a post or website.
DRTO = Dry Tortugas National Park
EVER = Everglades National Park
BISC = Biscayne National Park
BICY = Big Cypress National Preserve
