This area will not be developed. It will be managed as mitigation for the surrounding developed lands, and is part of a much larger mitigation project for an even more immense development project. The elevation will not be changed, but the remaining dirt road is being removed. The vegetation will be maintained by cotrolling invasives. What I'm not to sure about is the water level. I don't know if this place will receive runoff from the surrounding developments (hope not!), or if it will receive groundwater or only rainwater. This is important because the place could dry-up in the winter, which is just when this place could attract some ducks. I've seen several flocks of Blue-winged Teal and recently as many as 18 Northern Shovelers. Hopefully, some more interesting ducks will show up.
