I think it's safe to bet your camera, right arm, and a small child that this bird is an escapee, just like the others that have been seen here. If one were to turn up in the Dry Tortugas, I'd question its origin. But with perhaps thousands in cages in South Florida, and no verifiable record of this species occurring as a vagrant in N. America, the odds are stacked completely in the escapee corner. It's still an awesome bird. I was lucky to see AND hear the one at Matheson last year, long after we thought it was gone.
