The CD is called "Flight Calls of Migratory Birds" and is the result of many years research and field study from Bill Evans and Michael O'Brien. In a word, it is fabulous.

An added bonus is that instructions are included to make your own "microphone" for ~$32 with a plastic flower pot and simple equipment. You can attach this to a VHS and listen to it the next day. There are surprising numbers of non-passerines that give flight calls. It works best when set up on a roof or in a quiet area, like Homestead. Swainson's Thrushes are the easiest to pick out, since they sound like Spring Peepers and continue to give the call a few minutes after landing.

I had the privilege of attending a 3-day workshop/meeting with Bill Evans in SC during September 2003. We were able to listen with headphones and have Bill help us with ID's.
