I was not able to see any birds flying over (they usually fly at a 100-200 feet at night, I believe.
I had a note pad and a pen, and jotted down a tally mark next to the bird's name everytime I heard something. I lost count on the BTBs and Bobolinks. The other birds are easily identified by call, but many other warbler flight calls sound too similar to separate.
There is a cd-rom on the market made specifically for nocturnal bird calls, which I'm probably going to buy. http://www.oldbird.org/fcmbirds.htm
