Birded just a few places this morning but the flies were just too much! The Annex had swarms of flies around the car - but I did get a nice look at a female Pileated Woodpecker on one of the utility poles. Checked out Research Road and then Anhinga Trail - both areas full of flies and some mosquitoes. The Butterfly Orchids were nice to see in the trees along the boardwalk that crosses the water in Anhinga Trail. Can't wait for Fall!!!
