The weather conditions were right yesterday to enjoy the above areas. It was still warm but the breeze helped. Even though of course, the number/kind of birds seen is not as great in summer, it is still enough to be interesting. I find I am seeing different behaviors possibly due to less people in the area. At Kirby Storter I saw two Great-crested Flycatchers sitting in the nesting position on the bottom of the board walk. One appeared to be an immature with it's beak open in begging mode, the other sitting a couple of feet away was watching the youngster.The adult seemed to be saying: "You've had enough food for now junior--I'm taking a break now too."
