Yesterday we were at Anne's Beach and I was stunned to hear rails calling at about 11 AM. The calls were very close (we had the second from the end cabana if you are coming in from the south entrance) and frequent. The call was most definitely a king rail and there seemed to be at least two of them. One of them cam skulking right by the cabana and we had a great look at a juvenile king rail. The calls stopped at about 1:00 and we never heard them again. That's a first for me there!
