This afternoon I made the trip out the the Redland in search of my life Dickcissel and my year Rufous Hummingbird. I was able to find the female Rufous Hummingbird. However, the House Sparrow flock played hide and seek with me in the butterfly garden, and so it was hard to find a Dickcissel among them. The flock of about thirty took off eventually and headed for the neighboring properties.
A quick stop to the Blue-winged Warbler at Barnes was unfruitful. Just a few Ovenbirds, a redstart, and gnatcatchers.
