Bill Baggs Cape Florida September 3rd 2005

Today I was blessed and saw 4 Life Birds today, a Northern Water Thrush at
Cape Florida and a Louisiana Water Thrush, Eastern Wood Peewee and a Tennessee
Warbler at A. D. Barnes. Oh.. Yeah...

Who ever makes it to A.D. Barnes tomorrow for the TAS walk, should not be
disappointed.

The walk through Cape Florida was great and we saw 9-10 warbler species and
the good company of fellow birders. Here are a few photos from  the day.

Lots of Prairies

Black Racer

Some Red Starts that were red

I liked the flower and the butterfly...

Red-eyed Vireos were plentiful

Northern Water Thrush - Life Bird for me

One of a few Ovenbirds

Some went to A.D. Barnes

The reward for many was this Eastern Wood Peewee

And this Tennessee Warbler

I'm pretty sure this is the bird Paul spotted and that I observed through my
binoculars. The light was really poor and the bird was a good distance away for
a photo. To me the photo seems to show more contrast between white above the eye
and the cap than I observed with binoculars. This bird is not a vireo. It was
far to small and the bill far to thin.

The resident Titmouse was singing

This Oriole gave us a thrill

Thank you TAS for another great experience.

As Paul would say, "life is good".
