Marcello, little blues occasionally white morph just like a reddish egret. Since the juveniles are white most folks never realize this, assuming white birds to be young . Your bird is probably an adult. I have seen a couple of white birds on the nest and heard of others over the years. Nice job picking out the subtle differences.
