While gathering our cheap Birdathon points at Crandon Gardens, David Wright, Mary Ellen Ahearn and I relocated the Western Spindalis today at 12:30 PM. Two birding groups (from Wisconsin and Pennsylvania), plus several others, were able to see the beautiful female. She worked her way south and was last seen near the Purple Martin house.
Thanks go to Daryl, Katrina and two other gentlemen who graciously contributed to Tropical Audubon's Birdathon in celebration for a life bird for most observers.
