All mine are gone. Grackles and squirrels raid my feeders now. I have been seeing more Yellow-chevroned Parakeets at my feeders than I have seen in a long time. I counted five this morning and they seem to prefer the peanuts over the seed. The Monks come too and they are serious seed raiders. I have counted up to 16 at one time. The Bronzed-Cowbird has become quite a pest. It is quite bold standing on top of my car while I am only about 10 feet away. It eyes me cautiously with the red eyes. I have to keep garbage bags over my driver/passenger mirrors as it is obscessive, repeatedly bobbing/displaying at them. I have not been seeing many warblers--the last being an immature A. Redstart splashing in the birdbath. The Bluejays have been enjoying the mangos that have fallen beneath the tree. I have not seen a G. Catbird in the last two days. The squirrels now recognize me. I initially had to use a water gun to get them off the feeders--now I only have to open the front door and they flee in haste---but they do come back.
