Why in the world do you expect to tell male and female BW VIreos apart? There's a reason field guides do not illustrate or mention any difference.

Male and female BW Vireos have identical plumage. The red eye is a typical adult feature (generally brown in immatures and hard to see without perfect lighting). Although the eye is underexposed in one of your photos, the other clearly shows it is red.

At times you give the impression of not consulting a field guide. This is one of them. (The Green-winged Teal also comes to mind.)
