I stopped by this morning, neat, good find. The foreman on the construction site there came by to check me out, but it appears that birding is OK.

Black Point had three early Palm Warblers (western), Spotted Sandpipers, and a Yellow-crowned Night Heron.

Good birding,
Susan

: Following Toe's shorebird post the other day regarding the flooded area offOld Cutler Road where 224 St. curves to become 97th Ave., I stopped over yesterday afternoon for about an hour, before some T-storms moved in.
:
: There were lots of shorebirds, mostly Least Sandpipers, Semipalmated Plover, Black-necked Stilts and Killdeer, but also including Pectoral, Semipalmated, and Western Sandpipers, and Greater & Lesser Yellowlegs. There were also a ton of Laughing Gulls, and, to some surprise, a White Pelican. No signs of any dowitchers or terns.
:
: As shorebird migration increases, this could be a really good area.
