I received an eMail from an experienced New York birder currently birding in the Keys. He reports a possible third-cycle Slaty-backed Gull at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehab Center, located at mile marker 93.6 in Tavernier. The bird has an injured wing, but is not being held in a rehabilitation pen, so it is free to leave. It seems to be hanging around for free food. The birder does not have a camera. If anyone with a camera is in the vicinity and would like to check this out . . .
