The Garden Key bird fountain was determined by the National Park Service to be beyond repair and was removed this past January. Tropical Audubon Society has submitted for NPS approval a design for a removable fountain, to be installed at the fort during spring and fall migrations. Birders can contribute to our fundraising efforts for this project (as well as for an American Flamingo banding project in Florida Bay) by participating in TAS's upcoming Birdathon.
