Reading the birdboard (or at least the rare bird update) would have told you that a Tropical Kingbird is present in that area, and has been for months. And yes, it has been heard to call. That's why we are sure it is a Tropical Kingbird.
Not sure why you would conclude Couch's from the books. They were telling you that you didn't have enough information to tell them apart.
