Despite a SW breeze, migrants were few this morning in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Among the 8 warbler species: Worm-eating, Cape May, Northern Waterthrush, American Redstart and Blackpoll. Other birds of interest: Baltimore Oriole, Indigo Bunting, Black-necked Stilt, Gray Kingbird and Rose-breasted Grosbeak. There were some lingering Gray Catbirds, Barn and Tree Swallows.

A flock of 9 Blue Jays made a soft vocalization when flying from the southern end of the park. Their flight (?) note sounded like a cross between a Red-winged Blackbird and a Grackle. Has anyone noticed this in migratory Blue Jays?
