Unbelievable!! I was fishing again in our back yard. At 8:08 this evening another flock, this time of 9 flamingos flew over our lake. I spotted them flying south, about 200 yards out. They again turned to the west as the other flock did two evenings ago, and dropped down in the vicinity of the water conservation area or maybe one of the lakes in Sunset Lakes. They flew in a slanting line. They broke ranks as they dipped down.
This time it was darker and I could not make out any color, but their huge size, gangly legs, pointed wings, and long neck and crooked bills were visible without binoculars.
This morning when we went to exercise at the Sunset Lakes club I asked one of the managers whether any flamingos had been reported. She said no, but would let me know if anyone told her of a sighting.
I did check the main lake to no avail.
