American Goldfinches

Jeanette came by so she could take some pictures of my Goldfinches, and she had quite a collection to choose from! I must have 30+ of these birds and they are becoming more colorful by the day. Today they were several hanging on the feeder sock, about 15 on the platform feeder eating millet, 3-4 on the birdbath, and probably 10-20 singing in the trees. I fill up the sock with thistle about every 2-3 days! The males are becoming more aggressive, so they might migrate any day.
We birded my backyard and we found a FOS Brown Thrasher along with Northern Parulas, many Catbirds, White-eyed Vireos and other usual species for this time of year.
