These birds showed up about a month ago at my house in deep South Dade, about 2 miles from the entrance from Everglades National Park. I had the sock feeder hanging in my tree for about 3-4 months before they found it. I think they were attracted to the catkins in my oak trees at first, then found the sock feeder as a bonus treat. I hope some survive the season to return next year. I'll also put it out again in the fall and see if any return.
