Back to Belle Glades...i drove towards Lake O on CR 880 and crossed road 715 and went down to the end and turned around when i saw a gorgeous female Northern Harrier. It was also cool to see the managed fires on the sugar cane fields. Drove west towards South Bay but did not see anything interesting on main road.
Back at CR880 i had a glimpse of some vultures feeding under a gorgeous Brush-bottle tree (as soon as you cross Duda Rd) and with it there were some juvenile Caracaras (photo attached).
Back towards East on CR 880 i made a pit stop and checked out the scene at STA-1 West. I did see some Common Yellowthroat, Prairie & Yellow-rumped galore, an Eastern Phoebe, 1 Loggerhead Shrike, A Gray Catbird, some Northern Mockingbirds, a pair of Common Ground Doves, 2 Northern Harriers, 2 dozen American Wigeons, 3-5 pairs of Northern Shovelers, about 8 Ruddy duck. I did see nearly 80 different species. Had a gone to the beach & Green Cay i would have had 100+ birds.
