Green Cay Wetlands:

I observed the La Sagra's Flycatcher today (23 February) at the edge of the parking lot of Green Cay Wetlands along with several other birders. Other sightings of note in the parking lot included large numbers of American Robin, a Painted Bunting, and a single (singing) Brown Thrasher.

Highlights at the wetlands themselves included sightings of both American and Least Bittern, half a dozen Purple Gallinules, Limpkin, and several Sora.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands:

The Neotropic Cormorant continues on the first rookery island from the main entrance. Other sightings here included a single Northern Rough-winged Swallow, several Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks, and a single Fulvous Whistling-Duck sitting out in the open. The live oaks had a few of the more common warbler species, with a bright Northern Parula being 'best'.
