It may be a bit early for the breeding, Caribbean race of the Cave Swallow. However, the wintering Mexican race can be found in agricultural areas around Florida City and Homestead. Carefully examine flocks of Tree Swallows. I nearly always have at least one in the Lucky Hammock area in the winter within the Tree Swallow flocks.
