My Yellow-rumps in Virginia have gotten absolutely vicious! They have taken over all 8 feeders at my house. First they terrorized the Ruby-crowned Kinglets so much that they no longer come to the peanut butter mix. Next they drove away the Carolina Chickadees. Then yesterday a Yellow-rumped pinned down a Goldfinch and pulled out a beakful of its feathers!!! It doesn't matter what kind of food is in the feeders...they want it all even if they can't eat it. I have never seen such behavior from them before this year.
