"Evolutionary history of migratory and non-migratory populations of Prairie Warblers (~Dendroica discolor~)", Buerkle, 1997 (in press) suggests that paludicola is larger than discolor, and that paludicola has "larger white spots on the retrices." I am uncertain how useful these characteristics are, especially since the white spots on the ventral aspect of the tail seem to occupy almost all of the tail in any event.
